About
Oval Studio is an award-winning Architectural Design & Research Practice based in Athens.
Through numerous Commissions the Studio has acquired an expertise in the Design of Single
family and Residential Projects. Our work is human-centered with a mission to design Projects with a meaningful impact on people’s lives.
At the same time through numerous Participations and Awards in Architectural and Urban Design Competitions the Studio has built a broad and rich Design and Research base that creates positive feedback in our everyday work.
We understand our work as a living garden - seeds that were planted long ago and continue to be planted everyday – have now grown into a strong network of roots , branches and leaves :
foundations, concepts and real work expertise. We like to see ourselves as gardeners that take
care of this garden and together with our clients help it grow further into a forest of wonderful
ideas and real-life projects.
People
Dimitris Zoupas is a registered Architect in Greece and the Design Principal of Oval Studio. He holds a Diploma of Architecture from the National Technical University of Athens (2005) and a Master of Design from the Harvard Graduate School of Design (2011).
He has established numerous collaborations in Greece and abroad; StudioEIKA in New York,Pei
Zhu Architects in Beijing, Byoung Soo Cho Architects in Seoul, Holzer Kobller Architekturen in Berlin. Dimitris has served as a Design Consultant to the Greek Minister of Culture.
ILIA is a multi-task creator: conceptual artist, musician, composer, designer. As a Design
Associate she has a growing involvement in the work and Identity of the Studio.
Through the years we have had the pleasure to collaborate with wonderful young professionals
