The project involves the transfrormation of an existing housing complex into a luxury 4-star hotel. In its current condition the compex has no distinctive character and is rather an amalgama of different building phases and styles. The task has been to work along the existing contours of the premises to redefine the overall character of the buildings and their surroundings in a way that addresses the client's needs. 

Chorio ( village in Greek ) has been selected as a working title to suggest a relation of the design to traditional Greek Villages. Circulation pathways among building volumes and proposed retaining walls resemble the famous sokakia of greek traditional architecture. At the same time, the design attempts to promote an aesthetic that is distinct and contemporary
